Trommel

Trommel Screens

Trommel screens are commonly used in mining, waste recycling and composting industries. The rotating motion of the trommel drum is similar to the motion of a washing machine. This helps to agitate and break down the materials, thereby ensuring efficient removal of finer fractions.

Large volume throughput

Trommels are particularly effective in processing large volumes of differing size materials quickly. The versatility of a trommel makes them a popular choice for many applications, from soil and aggregate screening to waste recycling management.

Frequently used by our customers to remove the fine fractions, usually at the start of the processing chain. This makes the remaining material easier to process for the picking operatives or further downstream processing. The size of fraction to be removed is predetermined by the hole size and shape in the trommel media. This can vary greatly depending on the customer’s operation, volume of material and required product final size specification. The fines removed by the trommel screen are often the fraction up to 40mm.
